Weather Modification & Cloud Seeding Is Texas Policy

According to COMPTROLLER.TEXAS.COM, “serious cloud seeding operations began in Texas during the severe drought of the 1950s.
The article states: “The regulation of weather modification began with the Texas Weather Modification Act of 1967, which the 60th Legislature enacted to ensure that various methods of modifying the weather do not have adverse effects on clouds or their natural ability to produce rainfall.”
[Interestingly, the public health and environmental safety is not mentioned in terms of protective measures.]

Further explained, “Cloud seeding (also called precipitation enhancement) is a form of weather modification used to stimulate clouds to produce more rain. The process involves using aircraft to spray clouds with small particles that have a structure like ice, such as silver iodide.”
There are many problems with man-made “weather.”
First, cloud seeding involves intentionally dispersing hazardous chemicals such as silver iodide into the air.
According to PubChem, silver iodide (AgI) is an environmental hazard and is a combustible agent.
According to PubMed, no studies have considered the continued use of cloud seeding with AgI on the same geographical areas and the potential cumulative effect of AgI on the environment and biota. Additionally, AgI is found to cause DNA damage.
Second, according to scientific literature, “The radiative effects of aerosols on clouds mostly act to suppress precipitation.” This means that cloud seeding has a high probability of causing drought, and may also cause flooding.
Third, intentionally contaminating the air for science experiments is not a democratic activity. All life depends on clean air and water to be healthy. There is no avoiding the air we breathe. Cloud seeding, weather modification, and other hazardous atmospheric activities are a form of violence with origins in environmental warfare.
Finally, cloud seeding and other interference with Earth’s weather and climate systems involves stealing rain from one place to make rain somewhere else. No one has the right to control the weather, change the climate, and/or manipulate the Earth’s temperature.
It is notable that the United Nations (UN) World Meteorological Organization (WMO) is cited by the Texas Comptroller article as a reference source, indicating guidance from the UN, rather than the USA Constitution. Link
Reported is the limited efficacy of seeding experiments for drought relief, inconclusive results, and unreliable measurements.
In sum, upon evaluating the Texas weather modification and cloud seeding policy, the reference materials lack hard data proving efficacy and provide no evidence safety.
