FY2027 FAA Budget Estimates
30 June 2026 | ZEROGeoengineering.com | The following Department of Transportation (DOT) / Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Budget Submission for FY2027 provides appropriations requests for FAA activities including the Aviation Weather Research Program (AWRP) and other programs that involve the collection of biometric data. Weather research is enabled by an overarching global system of observation (aka, surveillance) comprised of satellites, telecommunications, NEXRAD, interoperable wireless instruments, and devices).
DOT and FAA collaborate with the unelected United Nations (UN) World Meteorological Organization (WMO) and the UN-affiliated International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) that set global aviation standards. Additionally, DOT and FAA are partners in the Interagency Council for Advancing Meteorological Services (ICAMS)–federal weather research enterprise agencies. ICAMS is authorized by the Weather Research and Forecasting Innovation Act of 2017 (Public Law No. 115-25, Title IV, sec. 402, 15 U.S.C. § 8542).
NOTE: Research activities that involve releasing polluting emissions into the commons or collecting personal data, lack informed public consent and raise serious ethical, legal, and environmental questions.
