Governance of Geoengineering
January 3, 2024 | ZeroGeoengineering.com | Many researchers are familiar with the technical aspects of weather engineering activities such as cloud seeding, SRM and SAI. A less considered factor is the regulation or governance of these activities.
In spite of the U.S. efforts and mandate for experimentation in SRM and SAI interventions, many would argue that environmental warfare techniques such as cloud seeding, weather modification, and solar geoengineering are simply not governable and must be outlawed for numerous reasons.
First and foremost, there is a complete lack of informed public consent or ethical standards for atmospheric experimentation.
Secondly, weather engineering involves the release of aerosol emissions, electromagnetic radiation, and other pollution that contaminates and degrades the environment and may be used as weaponry.

Finally, the profit driven international entities, private partners, wealthy individuals, academic institutions, government and military intelligence agencies that currently lead efforts in atmospheric experimentation and governance efforts are unaccountable for their actions.

Atmospheric research programs lack informed public consent, critical oversight and safety regulations. Unelected agencies are operating outside of the context of legitimate constitutional governance.
