Idaho Cloud Seeding Utilizes Ag/l, an environmental hazard
March 17, 2022 | Zero Geoengineering
Like many states that promote polluting the environment via ‘cloud seeding,’ Idaho has fallen into the trap of intentionally dispersing toxic chemicals into the atmosphere such as silver iodide (Ag/l) in an attempt to increase precipitation. Silver iodide is classified as an “Environmental Hazard” according to PubChem.
A 2010 study found that cloud seeding is not ‘effective’ in precipitation enhancement. Other academic findings conclude that ‘cloud seeding’ can cause flooding and drought and “the radiative effects of aerosols on clouds mostly act to suppress precipitation.” Since there is no regulatory prohibition or applied ethics to prevent weather manipulation, these types of reckless schemes continue causing harm to human health and our environment.
The weather modification process known as ‘cloud seeding’ has origins in environmental warfare, and this scheme of weather manipulation has never been proven to be safe for the environment. In addition to being extremely toxic to aquatic life, silver iodide is a combustable agent.
