“Earth’s Radiation Budget. ‐ In lieu of House language regarding Earth’s radiation budget, the agreement provides no less than $4,000,000 for modeling, assessments, and, as possible, initial observations and monitoring of stratospheric conditions and the Earth’s radiation budget, including the impact of the introduction of material into the stratosphere..”
Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2020
“On December 20, 2019, the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2020 (Pub.L.116-93) for FY 2019 was signed into law by President Trump. This provides a total of $5.49B for NOAA. This includes $3,956,213,000 for NOAA Operations, Research and Facilities (ORF) and $1,542,588,000 in Procurement, Acquisition and Construction (PAC). Link
OAR Operations, Research, and Facilities (ORF) – OAR received $548.4 million in ORF funds, an increase of $23.3 million from FY 2019.
Climate Research – OAR Climate Research is funded at $169.5M
Weather and Air Chemistry Research – OAR Weather and Air Chemistry Research is funded at $133.6M
Weather and Air Chemistry Research Labs and Cooperative Institutes: $82M
