“Operations support the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE), North Atlantic Treaty Organization Airborne Early Warning and Control (NATO AEWC) program, Cooperative Defense Initiative program, and other international headquarters.
The Technology Transfer Program, which controls the transfer of critical Air Force technologies to foreign governments, is also included in this Subactivity Group…Research Development projects and to develop, process, negotiate, and oversee international agreements for projects relating to air, space and cyberspace. Funding supports partnership building capacities and US Air Force training, encompassing a mil-to-mil engagement with Poland through the rotation of US aircraft and Poland’s aviation detachment.
The US is responsible for approximately one third of the multi-national Strategic Airlift Capability (SAC) program overall program. Funding contributes to aircraft maintenance, training, personnel, and operational support costs. The program provides a full range of strategic and tactical airlift to each nation in support of NATO, European Union (EU) and United Nations (UN) military operations.“
