According to PubChem, silver iodide (AgI) is an environmental hazard and is a combustible agent.

According to the 2016 PubMed research article below, no studies have considered the continued use of cloud seeding with AgI on the same geographical areas and the potential cumulative effect of AgI on the environment and biota. Additionally, AgI is found to cause DNA damage.
