“The mission of ASR is to quantify the
interactions among aerosols, clouds,
precipitation, and radiation to
improve fundamental understanding of
key atmospheric processes across a range
of scales, with the ultimate
goal of improving understanding and
predictability of the Earth’s radiative
balance and hydrological cycle. To
accomplish this mission, ASR utilizes
continuous long-term datasets that
provide measurements of radiation,
aerosols, clouds, precipitation, dynamics,
and thermodynamics over a range of
environmental conditions
collected at several fixed ARM sites
situated in climatically distinct locations.”
